Mark Dacascos is an accredited Patsy Rodenburg Associate, an 8th-degree Black Belt in the martial art Wun Hop Kuen Do, a dedicated student of Capoeira and Muay Thai, and a professional actor.
He has appeared in more than 50 feature films and over 300 episodes of television. Some of his most recognized roles include the lead villain Zero in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the Native American Mani in the French cult classic Le Pacte des Loups / Brotherhood of the Wolf, the charismatic Chairman in Iron Chef America, and the enigmatic antagonist Wo Fat in the rebooted series Hawaii Five-0.
Mark has also lent his voice to several animated projects, including Richard Dragon in Batman: Soul of the Dragon, Guru Greasetrap in SpongeBob SquarePants, and three characters in the Emmy Award–winning series Blue Eye Samurai. On stage, he portrayed the antagonist in the 2024 English-language production of The Mongol Khan, performed at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Theater.
For more than twenty years, Mark has studied with Patsy Rodenburg, OBE, whose work in presence, voice, and the art of communication continues to shape his craft and his life. Through both teaching and practice, Mark shares the transferable skills he learned from Patsy—skills that help artists and individuals alike survive and thrive. He finds hope in her work and in the people it attracts, believing it awakens in students a sense of presence, power, and possibility.
He has taught Patsy Rodenburg Associate (PRA) workshops in Honolulu and Sydney, is currently teaching in Los Angeles, and is planning future sessions in Hamburg, which he will teach in both German and English. Thanks to Patsy’s work, Mark continues to play—both on screen and on stage.
