Terms and Conditions

Cancellation Policy:

All payments are non-refundable, subject to the Flexible Covid Terms below*.

As a courtesy, if you cancel at least 14 days before the start of a workshop, you may roll-over your payment to a subsequent workshop during the following 12-months, space permitting. If you cancel within 14 days of the start of a workshop, we will make a “best efforts” attempt to fill your space. If we succeed in filling it, then you will be given a credit for a subsequent workshop during the following 12-months, space permitting. If we are unable to fill the space, or all future workshops are sold out, you will not receive a credit. No credits will be issued after the start of the workshop, and all credits expire 12-months from date of issue. Credits are non-transferrable.

Please note that Patsy’s workshops regularly sell-out and that there is a strong likelihood you may not be able to benefit from a credit.

*Flexible COVID Terms:
You may cancel and receive a full refund (less 3.5% processing fee) if you are no longer able to travel due to restrictions arising between your country of departure (directly prior to your journey to the USA or Portugal) and the workshop that either make it impossible to travel to the workshop or will require you to quarantine upon arrival in the USA or Portugal. You will only be eligible for refunds according to these terms if (i) you notify us of your wish to cancel 7 days or greater before your arrival date, and (ii) on the date you made your booking, the travel restriction(s) or quarantine requirement(s) cited to invoke these cancellation terms were not in place, and travel to the USA or Portugal from your country of departure was, or was expected to be, permitted in time for your workshop according to the travel authorities of both that country and the USA or Portugal.

We encourage you to make travel and lodging reservations with flexible cancellation policies in these uncertain times.

COVID 19 Policy:

Opera America:

Please familiarize yourself with the Covid 19 policy of Opera America, which may be found here

• The entire staff of OPERA America’s National Opera Center is fully vaccinated and will continue to wear masks for your extra protection.

• The air system has been optimized with a high efficiency filtration system and outfitted with I-Wave BI-Polar Ionizer air cleaners that actively treat and kill pathogens.

• All guests 12 years or older are required to show proof of one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine with matching identification when visiting the Opera Center.

• When you walk to your room through common spaces, you’re encouraged to wear a mask, even if you’re vaccinated. Masks are available at the front desk.

Patsy Rodenburg Academy:

All participants in Patsy Rodenburg Academy workshops must be fully vaccinated. You must confirm that you are fully vaccinated in order to register for a course. Patsy and her team are fully vaccinated.

Please do not join the class if you have any symptoms of Covid or if you feel generally unwell.

In accordance with our responsibility to maintain the highest duty of care for all workshop participants, we will provide a lateral flow test each day for each participant, subject to adequate supplies being available. Please arrange to arrive 30-minutes early in order to complete this test. You will not be admitted into the studio until you have tested negative. We also require face masks to be worn in class when you are not working – covering both your nose and your mouth. There will be plenty of hand sanitizer available.

In Portugal, as we will be working mostly outdoors, daily testing and masks use will be optional and subject to working conditions.

These policies are subject to change based on the latest CDC guidelines (for New York workshops) and government regulations in effect at the time of the workshop.
